Celebrating Womens HERstory with the Tioga Arts Council!

In honor of Women’s History Month, several contributors to the 2017 NY Votes for Women: A Suffrage Centennial Anthology will participate in a reading on March 18th at 1:30 pm at the Tioga Arts Council!

The readers will share works from the original book, which celebrated women gaining the right to vote in NY State in 1917. The contributors to that original volume explored women suffrage, feminism, and more recent concerns of the rights of women. Laura Lusk, Lisa Harris, Stacey Murphy, and Gaia Woolf-Nightingall will share a blend of poetry and prose in works that appear in the Anthology and that were created more recently.

Save the Date! Anthology Contributors reading as part of the Spring Writes Literary Festival!

The Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County is planning for their annual literary festival, Spring Writes.  This year’s festival is May 4-7, 2017, and we are excited to announce our reading on Sunday, May 7th.  

Seven of the contributors to NY Votes for Women:  A Suffrage Centennial Anthology will read their works, some poetry, some prose.   This will be your chance to get a taste of what’s in the book before it is released, and we hope you will join us!
